This year has started well for us, and it’s only the beginning of May! We started the month by announcing a new tenant, Amazon, one of the biggest electronic commerce companies in the world. Globalworth Campus is home to Amazon’s headquarters in Bucharest, having already established a presence in Romania, by opening an office with 1000 employees in Iasi in 2005.

Amazon has up until now invested some €100 million in Romania while developing the latest generation technology. Opening an office in Bucharest was a great choice because there are many career opportunities within AWS (Amazon Web Services), especially for software engineers specialised in operating and virtualisation systems.

As Amazon’s headquarters in Globalworth Campus have 650 open positions for high-tech superstars, the company has concluded a partnership with schools and universities, going so far as to offer internship programs.
